Pensioner Stewart Green drowned his nine-year-old grandson in the bath and sat calmly on the sofa until his family returned home, a court has been told.
Greene, 65, from Louth in Lincolnshire had a history of mental issues but had been released by doctors.
Once again an innocent person is murdered because a mental person had a relapse. Isn't it time we simply kept them all under lock and key? If this had been a paedophile who'd murdered a child the media would be full of "lock them up forever" headlines. But for some reason we seem to just shrug our shoulders when a mental person commits another awful crime.
And before anyone slags me off for knowing nothing about mental health, my Uncle Kevin was a mentalist. He set fire to his own house on more than one occasion, but every time the hospital sent him home to my Dad's care. Personally I'd have locked the bastard up permanently.
Are we too soft on mental health?
