Beat a good Bury team on Friday 4-1, plus who can be worse than Lennon?

Top Manager, he would turn us into a winning team.Norpig wrote:he's done wonders with Southend, lets face it who else would want it at the moment?

We'd have won yesterday if you hadn't said we'd win the title when we went 2-1 up.scottjames30 wrote:Top Manager, he would turn us into a winning team.Norpig wrote:he's done wonders with Southend, lets face it who else would want it at the moment?

Unspeakably awful manager.
one of only three options for Bolton fans though when we need a new one.
1) Jimmy P and Sammy Lee "dream team"
2) Phil Brown
3) Big sam BACK!!!11!

Wouldn't say Phil Brown was an awful manager, though don't think we should go backwards. There are others about, but we should try someone in the lower divisions and on the way upHipster_Nebula wrote:Unspeakably awful manager.

What has Phil Brown ever done to say he's not a poor manager?

He got them promoted too, but that doesn't make him a good manager. Particularly with the way Hull ended for him.

With due respect Steve Bruce did the same and he's considered a good manager - why shouldn't brownie be considered the same. Southend could replace Bolton next seasonbwfc1874 wrote:He got them promoted too, but that doesn't make him a good manager. Particularly with the way Hull ended for him.

Quite simply, because Bruce has proved it wasn't a one off.
He got Birmingham promoted and kept them there for 5 years (longest spell they ever had in the Premier League). Kept Wigan up both of the years he was there (also bought in the likes of Palacios and Valencia whose sales funded the next generation of Wigan players), spent 2 years at Sunderland where he got them finishing way above where they've been since then went to Hull got promoted and kept them up for a season (plus an FA Cup final).
Bruce is an a okay manager, nothing special, but Phil Brown has done nothing to prove he's anywhere near that level.

Whoever the next manager is,he's probably going to be on the level of a Phil Brown. We have to face facts. We're no longer a project,we're a basket case.bwfc1874 wrote:FullofSprite wrote:With due respect Steve Bruce did the same and he's considered a good manager - why shouldn't brownie be considered the same.bwfc1874 wrote:He got them promoted too, but that doesn't make him a good manager. Agreed Bonce, doubt we'd even get Brown to be fair.

Welcome back - I was getting genuinely worried there for a bit.
