Nat i don't see what is so wrong with people being friends on here, it's only natural that the regular posters get to know each other better (in an online sense anyway) as we all spend so much time on here.

I know you probably feel it's your job to come on here and stir things up and cause a bit of friction, which is fine from time to time but you've been away for weeks than come back all guns blazing.

Why can't there be a balance of friendly and not so friendly (but in jest) bantering. If it turned nasty all the time then i'm pretty sure a lot of regular posters will just not bother and that would be a real shame

That's how the site used to be, but now you're not allowed to say anything without certain posters running to the mods.

No one, and I mean no one, has taken more abuse than me over the years yet I'm still here. I just laugh it off, in fact I prefer it when people are abusing me! I simply don't understand how someone can get so upset by something a total stranger says on the internet.

Looking back on last nights posting, it was a load of shite, and if anyone was genuinely offended then my deepest apologies. I guess I just think everyone is like me, but clearly some people are hurt by things that are said on here.

However, I'm getting sick of being blamed for shite written by other people.

i don't think anyone was that offended (even Copper) but the whole bumchums vs brotherhood is stale now and just cause too much friction i think.

The banter and piss taking is what brings me back here every day and that needs to stay but it does go a bit far some times with posters ganging up on certain individuals (no names).

I thinks the mods do a good job of trying to keep it at the right level, god knows it must be difficult at times.

Genuinely funny banter and ribbing is one thing.

Resorting to posting childish shite like "I think X looks like a big dog poo" is something else altogether.

And it's not even funny - it's like something a four year old would say during an argument in the Reception class at Primary school.

The big problem on here though is one of ego.

Whittam sees this site as his own personal vehicle to use to make him feel better about himself.

Look at all the signs - The persona is a successful, glamorous businesswoman, living in a penthouse, dishing out invective to her inferiors and ramming home how she's far superior to everybody else in every way.  

I'm no psychologist but I'd wager that the truth is something very different and all the threads about how fat people are disgusting and how depression is a made-up condition scream out at me that the person behind the account is a chubby fella, living alone in a small flat, hating the world because his life hasn't panned out quite the way he expected.

And he's angry and bitter about it.

That's not a criticism, there but for the grace of God and all that, but it does explain things for me.

He's said in the past that people only come to Nuts because of him and he honestly believes that shit.

And he can't handle the fact that it's not true, hence why we get these periods of sulking closely followed by sustained shit-stirring because he can't stand the idea that he's not the biggest show in town.

And he's not above using his position as one of the sites "owners" to try and remedy it.

He over-stepped the mark a while back when I bit back slightly too hard and he banned me unilaterally simply because he doesn't like people exposing him and his bollocks.

And this didn't go down too well with the rest of the site's management team and he lost some of his powers as a direct result.

So he hates me even more now.

Hence all this bollocks.

And my being awarded the Most Intelligent Poster award obviously really has upset him greatly because he's so wrapped up in all this that he really can't stand the idea that someone (anyone) is perceived as being cleverer than him on here - it's that simple.

So as I said yesterday, give him the award and let's hope that calms him down a bit and we can get back to something approaching normality and lose all the childish "dog pooh" and "sloppy farts" rubbish.

Because that really does stop new people from joining Nuts, not contributors getting on well and being friendly towards each other as he attests.

Can we just wipe the last 24 hours. Everyone is back now. It's good for the site. No personal jibes. A big group hug and let's move on and remove in the fact kps life as a bargain booze blower is over.
