You know I adore you my sweet but let's be honest, poor Nick didn't exactly have the best of years did he? In fact the Lib Dems are probably the only organisation in Britain that had a worse year than BWFC. I'm sure you'll make a comeback soon though which is more than can be said for the football club. After all, you survived Owen and Steele so you can survive just about anything.

I voted for Hipster 'Leeds fans are amazing' Nebula as pretty much every single post is one of negativity.
Sorry LPP, you'll just have to up your game next year and maybe you'll have a chance. I'm sure the wanderers will give you plenty of opportunity.
Thanks to Johnny for taking over a few polls btw, I just don't have much spare time atm.

Wish it was. Friends of ours in Stoneclough got caught in the floods unfortunately. By the time they got out it was chest high inside the house but thankfully they're ok. The street and house is a complete mess and the whole of the downstairs has been lost. Clean up operation in full swing then it's fingers crossed on the insurance. Main thing is they're ok.y2johnny wrote:No probs brother. Hope it's for fun reasons. ....

Glad to hear that your friends are safe mate. My gran lives in Edenfield near Ramsbottom and I was having kittens yesterday until my dad told me she was at his house. Now I'm fretting about them all because he's in Clitheroe but so far his street hasn't been affected. Keeping everything crossed right now including my eyes.Bwfc1958 wrote:Wish it was. Oh how awful, its great they are safe an obviously thats the important thing, but bet it doesn't feel like that when looking at the remains of their possessions. You are a good friend 58, hope the clear up goes as well as it canBwfc1958 wrote:Wish it was. Friends of ours in Stoneclough got caught in the floods unfortunately. My nephew and niece's place of work near Hebden is a bit of a worry as my sister reckons they had trouble getting insurance after the last floods a couple of years ago and this was a lot worse and not sure if they're covered.
As an aside who voted for the unofficial Happy Clapper of the Year 2014 (me) in this poll? Is this ongoing saga of failure and general woe getting to me?

I voted for myself so if that was illegal and needs to be discounted, you could always give it to Hipster.

Honestly, I had a lump in my throat when the final whistle went and something stirred deep inside me that I genuinely haven't felt for a long time where The Wanderers are concerned.
I'm just getting fed up with all the endless tedium and negativity of the mess we're in and it was really refreshing just to forget about it all for a few minutes and simply enjoy winning a football match for a change.
