I'm not sure if we're just better at diagnosing it nowadays or whether something's happening to increase cancer rates at an alarming rate.
My Mum went a couple of years ago at 67 and my Dad has been left unable to eat solid food after major surgery at the same age.
This despite them both leading fairly healthy, active lives.
Is it time to go and live on an island and just eat fruit?
