Darren Pratley stressed how important it was for Bolton Wanderers to cut out mistakes following their defeat to Nottingham Forest.

After seeing goalkeeper Ben Amos dismissed early on, the Whites eventually fell to a 3-0 reversal at The City Ground.

Disappointed with the result, Pratley called on his team-mates to learn from their mistakes ahead of their upcoming home clashes with Eastleigh and MK Dons.

“Every bad decision cost us and that has been the case all season,” the Wanderers skipper told bwfc.co.uk. “We got punished again for more bad decisions and we need to cut that out.

“The sending off changes the game. We were set up the same as we were against Sheffield Wednesday and we thought we could get at least a point. It’s disappointing.

“After the second goal we calmed it down, kept the ball and had a go. We had to come out and fight. That’s all we could do.

“We would have liked to have won the second half but sadly we didn’t manage to do that.

“It’s hard with ten men in any game, but everyone stuck at it and tried their best. Then they got the third goal on the counter and the game was over by then. It just wasn’t to be.”

Pratley continued: “Paul Rachubka came on and did very well. That’s a positive for us, that we have a substitute goalkeeper who can come in and do well.

“But I think we should be more disappointed with how their goals were scored rather than whether Ben was sent off or not.

“We need to dust ourselves off. We have a big game on Tuesday against Eastleigh and then a must-win game on Saturday against MK Dons.

“We need to beat them, it is as simple as that. A draw probably wouldn’t be good enough. We now need to go into that game and get three points.”

I think "we need to cut out the mistakes" is a fair point - even though it's bleedin' obvious.
