Does she get a little bit confused at times?
If so go to the match and tell her you did go to the cinema with her if she ever mentions it again.

She gets confused if it suits her. When she gets cold callers, she pretends she's deaf and drives them mad. They usually hang up in frustration.Sluffy wrote:Does she get a little bit confused at times?

In all fairness, she knows full well I'll be going to the match, but it'll be great ammunition for her in the future.

By all accounts its a terrible film, buy her the boxset of the TV show or the original movie and have a Saturday night in watching them (after you have been to the match obviously).

She's got them all Barb. Hope the film isn't too bad, because we'll never hear the last of it.Barb Dwyer wrote:By all accounts its a terrible film, buy her the boxset of the TV show or the original movie and have a Saturday night in watching them (after you have been to the match obviously).

She's more likely to put me in a home.
She's hinted she wants a new DAB radio,so that might be the way forward.

She called them 'that shower'- so she's absolutely correct. Its a choice of which comedians do you want to watch? The film or the clowns on the pitch.

i've had to miss a few matches for family birthdays and parties and it drives me mad knowing i'm not there. I would suggest changing the film to Sunday and taking her out for Sunday Lunch as well, that should swing it.
You could also take her to the park and watch you fall in the pond again, sure to cheer her up no end

Unfortunately it was panned. Apparently the cast were brilliant but the material was appalling and the director ruined it by trying to shoehorn in all the catchphrases plus there was too much running around doing bad slapstick with animals instead of witty banter in the village hall where 95% of the original TV show was made.boltonbonce wrote:She's got them all Barb. I have no doubt your mum will love it - and that you'll be there to enjoy it with her.

We've come to an agreement. I miss the film, but I have to show her how to use a laptop.
Interesting times ahead. My next dip in the pond might not be accidental.
It's been bad enough showing her how to use her mobile phone.

Tell her there has been a power cut at the cinema and they can't fix it until Sunday.
Take her then.

If she ever gets on here we're in big trouble.
