Not Phil Brown. Dear Lord what are Sports Shield thinking?
I appreciate many on here feel Lennon should go although I'm not one of them but even if I was I wouldn't want Brown. I know he's an ex-player and SS may see it as a 'popular' choice among fans that would generate some good will but I think it would be a terrible appointment.

I might be a bit dense but what exactly has Phil Brown done to deserve this?
I'll put Lennon's contact list and experience above Phil's everyday of the week. Nowt against Phil but I don't see how bringing him in is an improvement.

Phil brown is exactly what's needed to boost the club and bring back some good times. Appointing young , new, exciting managers has completely fucked us over.
Brown is experienced, he knows the club and what it's about, he has form for getting teams promoted and does that all on a shoe string budget.
He'd be my choice if Lennon went

Terrible?
Done a very good job at Southend on a tight budget and knows the lower leagues well.
Sounds like just the sort of guy we need.

What the hell must Lennon be thinking after reading this? and the players?
Announcing this is an enormous gaffe on Deano's behalf - absolutely nothing to be gained and loads to be lost by opening his big gob now.
Idiot.

He didn't announce anything. He doesn't even own the club.

What's the source for that piece?
It's devoid of any direct quotes from Holdsworth, so for all we know, it could have been written by one of us.

Well I'm still holding out for klitschko after his rematch with Fury, but if things fall through I will give you a shout.

There was a bit about Di Canio on the football just now. He's "proven" at lower league level too.
