National Gallery is superb however you can see the entire collection online via a virtual tour that they offer on the website. Still worth a visit and there's a Delacroix exhibition on ATM. I also like the Tate Modern, the Design Museum and the Science Museum which has the Apollo 10 command module and loads of nerdy stuff.
If you feel like splashing out afternoon tea at Claridge's is an experience but it's about £60 a pop.
Just realised you said you were going on the bank holiday weekend - so that's today ergo you probably won't read this in time anyway.

I really liked Madam Toussauds / Planetarium AND there is a 2 FOR 1 offers on
here for instance -
