Correct we've always been Americas first contact in Europe. But given the choice we've just made to pull away from Europe are we going to be of as much value as we were?
Absolutely. Any intelligence is only as good as the people who produce it. The Americans are well aware of this, and who produces what they want/need. We did/don't gather information on our European partners, and then forward it to America, (allegedly )
The US Defence Secretary was on the Bloomberg channel, and said nothing will change, and they have no concerns.

Why aren't all the other countries in the world that self govern outside of a political superstate being accused of being inward looking racist xenophobic bigoted nations?
I look out my window and I see no infrastructure, every other shop on the high street is boarded up, a jobs market made up of pathetic part time jobs and wages that haven't improved since 1997, railways completely dilapidated and not fit purpose, not to mention always completely overcrowded, roads are a mess full of holes and completely unsafe, the standard of education is going through the floor because of overcrowding and lack of funding, horrendous standard of care for the elderly paid for by robbing people who've worked their whole lives of their houses while people who live in council houses get it for free, paid for by, you guessed it! The people who are getting robbed twice over
Feckless lazy cunts who spend their days shagging and having as many kids as possible earning more than I get for working 40 hours a week. I've had enough I'm afraid and I'm absolutely sick of multi millionaires and 19 year olds who live with their parents telling me how I should have voted, not to mention the political elite trying to bully me into propping up their self interests. It's about time we stopped being Europe's welfare state.
and Jeremy Corbin has the cheek to talk about fairness and workers rights. Honest to God. They just don't get it do they.
And I'm socially liberal, I encourage sensible immigration, I believe in helping the most needy and would be happy to pay more tax to do so, I support second chances and rehabilitation. Put simply I'm sick of this country and it's citizens being abused by lazy criminals and the political elite who encourage it.

I voted out, and it wasn't just for the immigration. My view is that you don't have to be a rabid racist to be concerned about immigration, but you do need to have the tools, to at least tackle the problem, along with the ability to decide how to set up your countries defence, judiciary, social infrastructure, and working laws.
One thing I would say, is that I'm getting pissed off with how the Remains are taking the moral high ground. Why do you think you have the right to do that? Its over, and demanding to know why someone voted Leave is wrong, and has nothing to do with anyone. If they want to tell you, then they will, but the way any comments are being received means that leavers will stay quiet, because of the abuse. FFS, it was a democratic process, and its over. Look forward, not back. We're not going to stay in the EU, and that's it. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to face the reality.

Why's that the EU's fault?
Our infrastructures a piece of shit because we sold it to the highest bidder in the 80's and it's been underinvested in ever since.
If you feel that cuts to social care have been too deep you're right, but that's fuck all to do with this issue. Moan about the government because it's them that are doing so, the EU never decided how our budget was divided.
To blame all of those issues on the EU is to absolve governments of any responsibility for their core purpose. What the fuck is the point in us having one if any of that we're true.

And yeah, where's this so called abuse coming from? The whole point of this thread is to discuss the issues its not abusing somebody to question their stance.

I didn't realise that there were a third and fourth option on the ballot paper.
The ballot paper I filled in only had remain or leave the EU on it and not a box for Farage or if you read the Daily Mail or not.

I've asked Karly what his reasoning is numerous times, i don't see why I need a reason to do so as this is a forum and questioning each others views is essentially the entire point IMO.
However if it's annoyed you, the main reason I asked Karly was because he's probably been the most vocal in terms of wanting to leave the EU. To the extent of telling me I have my head up my arse, I need to fuck off, I'm a tit and that I'm a fucking idiot, for (as far as I can see) disagreeing with his view. I don't care about taking that kind of chat from Karly, so long as there's actually some substance behind it. So you could say I'm chasing the substance of his arguments.

Ye successive governments have screwed the majority of this country in order to favour the few. I don't know how you've managed to blame that on the EU though? And why would Boris and Gove do anything to improve the lives of ordinary people?
Out of interest should Sturgeon succeed in launching a second Independece Referendum for Scotland can we assume you'd now vote to remain in Britain as the SNP are keen to keep Scotland in the EU?

I didn't say I blamed it on the EU not sure why you keep saying that, I said our commitment to the EU, in my opinion, has deepened the issues we have in this country.
I wasn't too enamored with the SNP's campaigning on the EU, I found them to be particularly patronising, I'd reserve judgement on another indyref but I believe in self determination and I simply don't believe that is truly possible while being tied to a political superstate that can at times supersede the will of the elected government. It would have to be a hell of an compelling argument.
