Former Spain international Fernando Hierro has been appointed as the new head coach at Real Oviedo.
Hierro, who was capped 89 times for his country and played in four World Cups, has agreed a one-year deal with the option of a further season for what will be his first full managerial role.
Real Oviedo, who finished in a disappointing ninth place last season in the Spanish second tier, confirmed the news on their official website.
