We pissed on Cardiff City 3-0 last night, played great, and all things Wanderers are looking up for the first time in ages. FFS we might even be rid of Gartside sometime soon. Not heard this for a bit and  pulled it up on you tube to enhance the mood and it's completely done for me. Neil Young at his very best.

Great Neil Young song, almost up there with Down By The River and Cowgirl In The Sand.

Have a look at this cover version with Grace Potter and Joe Satriani.

I'm seriously impressed by that version Milesy. I'm definitely going to give that a few more listens.

Just listened to that, brilliant, been listening to his music or trying to when I get the chance lately.

Must have missed him first time round apart from Heart of Gold.

Again brilliant ... feel a bit ignorant but there must be a story to the song ?

Well it is a highly romanticised version* of an historical event. Cortez "was a Spanish Conquistador who led an expedition that caused the fall of the Aztec Empire and brought large portions of mainland Mexico under the rule of the King of Castile in the early 16th century" to quote Wiki.

*The lyrics say "Hate was just a legend And war was never known" which hardly describes the Aztecs accurately as they used to practice human sacrifice of the people they captured in aggressive wars.

Me too. I don't think Steely Dan ever released a bad album.

Here's another classic track and probably my personal favourite.

Another blast from the past, although you probably have to be in your 60's now to appreciate it!

The King Goblin Special Reserve Ale (6.6%) is flowing freely tonite and all is well with the world. One of my favourite pieces of music ever. An alternative version from DC's solo box set with the likes of Neil Young, Jerry Garcia and Phil Lesh really giving it what for and playing brilliantly behind Crosby.

Richard Thompson. Joni Mitchell tribute. First saw him when he was with Fairport. Great stuff.

Don't like that.

Dance Music was Rick Astley in my day.

Watch Boncey's Richard Thompson vid and get educated young man.

Now That's what I call music. Laughing
