When I was a student in Birmingham in the late 80's, OCS were a local band who were just starting to make it big. They gigged all round Harborne, Edgbaston, THe Hagley Road and obviously Moseley.

Oasis aren't shit, they've done some great stuff.

Music,  like ale, religion, politics, etc. is all personal choice. Some people actually liked Lieutenant Pidgeon at the time!!
As for the Oasis comments my slant is they had two excellent early albums and a mismash bits of one and never reached their former glories. Shit live band, very underwhelming, but in the right place at the right time. In fact, just like the band they paid homage to and emulated.
Again, just my opinion.

Oasis did some great songs early on, but they're not the band they think they are. They've been mediocre for a long time.
