A few years ago, the Johnson Fold area just seemed to go Italian mad.

Chianti Bar was opened at what used to be the Sportsman on Chorley Old Road, then they opened Cafe Italia at the roundabout where Chorley Old Road meets Moss Bank Way.

I don't eat out much because as I've said before I'm basically a fucking whizz in the kitchen myself, but if I did, it'd be at either one of these two. Brilliant food and it's cheap as chips.

Is the Spanish restaurant still going at the bottom of Halliwell Road? Used to be called Pedro's iirc. Balled headed Spanish guy with a big moustache always sat outside with a glass of Tinto.

I was watching football at the time. I wonder if it was a case of auto suggestion?  Smile

Update for you RT -

A PIZZA restaurant boss who denies sex attacks against four girls and women has been told his trial will take place in March next year.

At Bolton Crown Court Angelo Guido, aged 63, of Blackburn Road, Egerton, appeared for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

Guido, who owns Angelo's Cafe Bar and Pizzeria in Egerton, is alleged to have committed sexual assaults between May 31 2012 and July 12 2015.

He has pleaded not guilty and will remain on unconditional bail until his trial on March 27 next year.

We go there for brunch sometimes and to be fair it's a nice place. But he employs very young attractive girls and does seem to be overly familiar (not saying anything untoward is going on) but more than a few people have commented on the fact without knowledge of this.

I used to go jogging all the way up BBurn road to the Globe pub (now the Thomas Edgerton arms) and when jogging past his bistro, I thought it was a bit funny with the amount of young girls working in such a small place as it looked well overstaffed.

Cheers Sluffy, I mainly used to go in at weekends for Birthdays etc. I haven't been in since Mothers Day this year and I think I may give it a swerve until the trial is concluded.
