The party membership gave Corbyn a clear mandate, and it's for us to decide who'll lead the Party, not them.
If he does give in to an election,I want him on the ballot.
As I understand it, there is a no confidence vote today which will be decided on a straight majority basis and is widely considered likely to succeed.
But a vote of no confidence isn't binding and if Jezza doesn't want to go he can refuse to resign - even though he hasn't got the support of his fellow MPs.
In which case a leadership contest would be called and if he wants, Jezza could be on the list.

I must say though, that, this coup, because that's what is being attempted here, does the Labour MP's in Westminster no favours.

Would you vote for him though?
That emoji appeared spontaneously. Spooky.

if he stays and there ends up being an early general election, Labour will end up with as many seats as the Lib Dems, he has to go i'm afraid (and i'm a long standing Labour voter)

I agree. He is toxic electorally and he has done a shit job as leader. He has no concept of what ordinary people think or feel. He lives in a bubble in his own weird world.

We're taken out to ASDA once a week. Mainly to show ordinary people they have nothing to fear.
I once caused a panic when I asked for some celeriac,in fact two elderly ladies fainted, but calm was restored when the check out girl told the ten items and under queue, most of whom had armed themselves with French sticks, that I was special.
People,in general,are very understanding.
