Hate them and the prats who wander around with them. The obsession with taking a 'selfie' every five minutes baffles me, self centred pricks.

What about people who use them for their actual purpose?

I'd argue the actual purpose of a selfie stick is taking a selfie.

Genuinely thought you were going to teach me something, so I'm a little disappointed. I'd prefer if they had been designed to snatch phones from people taking selfies.

As a former petty criminal, I find the rise of the selfie-stick abhorrent.
I used to do a roaring trade in cameras and mobile phones stolen from gullible tourists who asked me to take their picture.
Since selfie-sticks appeared my supply chain's gone to shit.

A wireless one Scott? I thought that a selfie stick was...well a stick.
Is a wireless one some sort of drone?

You can get a selfie stick with a fake arm attached.

Most new phones you can make a gesture to the camera and it takes the picture. So all you really need is a stick.scottjames30 wrote:wanderlust wrote:A wireless one Scott? I thought that a selfie stick was...well a stick.

Or a friend.
I now fully understand why Scott needs a stick.

No but they can take a picture of your face which is, in essence, the whole point of a selfie.
