Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!

This is your own fault you see. You've started a job and ballsed it up from get go.

Fitting a new drive belt on your tumble dryer -

1. Take the top off
2. Take the front off
3. Take one of the sides off
4. Replace belt
5. Reassemble

At no point do you remove the back of the tumble dryer and attempt suicide through blood loss.

Follow these simple instructions when you are recovered, fix the dryer, pm me with your heartfelt thanks and then send me 50 quid for the sound lifesaving advice I've just given you.

The last time I was in A+E,I was there until after midnight, and the amount of abuse the staff had to endure from pissed up locals was beyond belief.
Bloody heroes in my book.

I knew a lad who went to replace a motor in his mums washing machine, he removed the back cover and stuck his hand in to get a really nasty shock that travelled all the way up his arm and now has a pemanent funny (not in a ha ha way) scar from it.

He only forgot to turn off and unplug it before he started. Shocked

And there was me thinking it was just a simple tumble dryer, rather than something from the Manhattan Project...

The cheque's in the post.

Just received a text message from The Royal Bolton Hospital asking me if I was happy with the service I received on Sunday and enquiring if I'd be happy to recommend the A&E Dept at Bolton to friends and family.

What a load of bollocks...

I work with KPI's a lot and they do have their place in the quest for continuous improvement, but come on.....this is an A&E Dept we're talking about, not a B&B in Blackpool.

Let's say I'd had a poor experience.

Would that mean I'd be saying to people that the next time they break their leg or fall off a roof they should avoid Bolton Hospital?

No, would it bollocks - This is about emergency medicine and we should all just be thankful that we enjoy free access to it at the point of delivery and not worry about whether or not there was an ample supply of toilet roll in the bogs and the windows looked clean.

Stupid, horrible Tory bastards, foisting bollocks like that on already over-worked and under-appreciated NHS staff.

And I wonder how much it costs the tax-payer to send all those pointless text messages out?

Wankers.

I just got 2 similar ones today funnily enough from 80870...

We would like you to think about your experience of the community health services from Bolton NHS Foundation Trust at Community Healthcare Services. How likely are you to recommend our Community Healthcare Services service to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment? 1 Extremely likely, 2 Likely, 3 Neither likely nor unlikely, 4 Unlikely, 5 Extremely unlikely, 6 Dont know. Please reply today, your feedback is anonymous & important to us. Texts are free of charge. Thank You. Please reply STOP if you do not want to receive further messages from the trust.

What a waste of time as this doesn't really show anything.

Exactly!

It's all bollocks, isn't it?

You're ill / injured - you need treatment.

It's not about "choice for the consumer", that's irrelevant - You just want treating.

Somebody is wasting valuable NHS money with all this pointless shit and the long game (and more worrying aspect to it all) is that it'll provide the Tory Bastards with spurious data with which to beat up allegedly "under-performing" trusts and smooth the way towards even further privatisation of our health service.

As I said, wankers!

They used to send letters out a few years back asking you to fill out a form and expand with comments on your overall experience.

I was a bit miffed at a couple of things so I selected number 5: extremely unlikely and it then thanked me for my time.

It would have at least been nice to have been able to tell them where they could have improved TBH.

What's the point in sending all these out if you are not going to find out why someone is not happy?

I've had 8 messages in the space of about a week with the same thing.

As you say, it must be costing a fortune texting everyone.

They just assume you're happy with the service because you're in there twice a week

Apparently 87% of the 56% who completed more than 23% of the survey thought it was a waste of time.

86.253% of people believe statistics more if they look really exact.
