Oliver Dearlove, from Eltham, died in hospital after being hit by Trevor Timon in an argument over a taxi in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Mr Timon is alleged to have hit Mr Dearlove once, a fatal blow.

Mr Timon has been charged with murder.

How do you feel about this sort of crime? Is Mr Timon a "murderer" or was he just unlucky that his one punch happened to kill someone? I'm sure many of you have been involved in some sort of scuffle at some point in your life, probably throwing a punch or two. I guess this could happen to anyone.

Do you have any sympathy for Mr Timon or does he deserve a life sentence like any other murderer?

When he punched him it wasn't an act to kill someone, however someone was killed.  Manslaugter.

it's a tricky one, if you throw a punch you have to expect that something like this can happen but in the heat of the moment you just react i suppose.

Do these kinds of cases usually end up being reduced to manslaughter or similar? Its sad all round, one person loses their life while the other person's life and career can be ruined form one rush of blood

Was it just an argument or did Oliver Dearlove provoke him?

I couldn't hit my neighbour in reality (much as i really want to), he's an old bloke with a dodgy hip and an alcoholic, wouldn't look good for me would it?

It won't end up as murder anyway.

Both intoxicated so that will have impaired judgement of the killer and the defendant was in an argument and probably provoked.

Possibly that the one who got hit tried queue jumping for a taxi?

I hate queue jumpers. Any sort of queue.

I've had several scuffles in the Post Office. And one at Puddletown Pirates.

I've knocked loads of people out, and not once did I intend to kill them, I'd say manslaughter would be the verdict .

In my younger days pal, when I was out with the lads, everyone was fighting outside pubs and bars, I'm a lover now though.

Peace out.
