Wanderers’ Under-23 side will be aiming to get back to winning ways when they travel to Colchester United on Monday lunchtime.
Having suffered a late defeat to Leeds United last Wednesday at the County Ground, Leyland – a game which saw them come out on the wrong side of a seven goal thriller – David Lee’s young side will be aiming to pick up their second away win of the campaign.
After last tasting victory on their travels against Millwall back in August, the Whites currently sit in fifth position in the U23 Professional Development League North standings.
Their opponents from the Weston Homes Community Stadium meanwhile come into Monday’s encounter off the back of a 1-0 victory over Hull City last time out, meaning that they reside in seventh position in the southern equivilant of the division.
The game will take place meanwhile at Florence Park with a 1pm kick-off.
