Stole the idea for this from Bread's 'I hate UB40' thread. 

What happened on the day you were born? 

Nothing notable happened on the actual day I was born so I'll have to go with births and deaths and trivial bollocks. Maybe you have something better to share.

I was born on a Wednesday. Clement Attlee was Prime Minister and Nat Lofthouse was Bolton's centre forward. If you google my actual birthday apparently nothing happened and the only famous deaths were an American poet and a librarian(!) I guarantee you have never heard of either.

I too,was born on a Wednesday. I share my Birthday with the great contralto Kathleen Ferrier,and the violinist Yehudi Menuhin.
I've always wished I'd been born on February 22nd. But April 22nd is close.

Mambo Italiano was in the charts the day I was born.

Doesn't look like anything particularly exciting happened on my birthday, although it looks like The Beatles and Billy Preston were number one with 'Get Back'. Not exactly a warm welcome was it?

Worryingly, the only person mentioned in Wiki who was born on my birthday is now dead.

Eisenhower was President, Churchill was PM over here - both dead.


But it's not all bad news.
