I hope there isn't anything in this but this is the 3rd time I have seen something on a football forum about michael owen joining bolton today.

I wouldn't take him personally and would rather have Kevin Phillips, which isn't saying much.

p.s. if this is the roger he is talking about there maybe some truth in it. Very Happy

Fuller is a free agent and I reckon he would drop down to the Championship, considering his age. 43 goals in 182 appearances for Stoke, is pretty impressive.

I would certainly rather have Fuller than Owen.

There's a joke in there somewhere.

I think Klasnic is one of these players that turns up to appointments with clubs with his agent, fearless of being laughed at like a complete knob head.

He supposedly wanted £60,000 a week when we originally tried to sign him permanently, then a week or two before the start of the season when he was (rightfully) still unemployed, he came crawling back with smaller demands saying there was never any doubt in his mind where his future belonged.

Much as I'm not a fan of his all-round game, there will be a good reason somebody with his record hasn't been signed up by somebody.

Well he's 32 and there's a good month yet til the big kick off. He will end up in the Bundesliga, probably at Wolfsburg, where he will once again be ahead of Tuncay in the manager's thoughts.

Ricardo Fuller is a free agent having been released by Stoke City. He can pull goals and scoring opportunities out of the proverbial hat and along with a healthy record of scoring in the Championship, has retired a defender or two in the Premiership - Martin Laursen from Aston Villa is an example. He was comprehensively beaten by Fuller and twisted his back trying to recover. He had to leave the game if memory serves, and retired at the end of the season. Fuller scored a fantastic goal off that play, by the way. A bit of a hothead, I'm sure he can be calmed down to score us a hatfull of goals.

We've just got rid of one injury prone Jamaican. We don't need a new one.

Calling someone Guy and telling them they're looking to make an enemy is being polite?

I'll end this particular conversation by saying that calling someone "guy" has no known offensive connotation, whereas responding to a Jamaican by referring to "injury prone Jamaicans" is somewhat offensive. Yes, they are both Jamaicans, but they are simply players. Their nationality is not a factor in this particular discussion. My initial response was meant to be tongue in cheek but since you and I have never had any conversation prior to this, you may not have realized this.

Thank you.

I doubt we'd be having this discussion if they weren't Jamaicans.

Owen on a strict pay per game deal. No play because of injury then no pay. So doubt he would come on that basis. Somebody like City could pay him to sit in the reserves or on the bench.
Interesting that Klasnic still not signed anywhere. How many would he score in the Champs.
