It's been a long time since football was a weekly thing and once we've got the Shrewsbury game out of the way we'll be heading into the final month of the season with 7 games still to play in 30 days - 7 games that will determine our fate.
This season's finale is perhaps more poignant as it looks like Ken Anderson has bet the ranch on us getting promoted and I dread to think what our financial position would be if we don't make it.
It's going to be tough. In the first week we have 3 games, two of which are away at playoff contenders Scunny and Southend, the other being a home tie against relegation battlers Chesterfield.
We'll also face 3 other teams fighting to avoid relegation in Oldham, Bury and Port Vale. In fact Peterborough are the only team we have left to play who don't have an obvious cause to fight for.
This demanding schedule is perhaps why Parky is talking about resting players and rotating the squad starting with the Shrewsbury game and that is the crux of the issue IMO.
With Pratley having come back to fitness, Dervite being brought back into a back 3 and Morais finding form it seems that Parky has finally stumbled upon the winning combination - only for him to have to change it at the business end of the season.
The question is therefore straightforward: Do we have the depth of squad to get over the line (automatic promotion) - or is the second string simply not good enough?
