If you accept that at this stage of the season the table doesn't lie, then its fair to say that if clubs carry on at the same points uptake(trend) then we can make some assumptions, Obviously any club who buck the trend could still give us a problem.
However we are currently on 75 points this if we continue would lead to a finish of 88 points and would secure automatic promotion.
Fleetwood would have to better us by a significant margin to trouble us. However if we dipped we would be at serious risk.
The same applies in terms of Sheffield losing the top spot both of us have promotion in our own hands.
7th placed Millwall would finish on 71 points, with Southend on 74 points so most likely we have already secured top five spot.
Bradford 76 points & Scunthorpe on 77 points means one win gives us top three.
Fleetwood would if the trend continues finish on 81 points. so two wins would secure automatic promotion on goal difference. All this if form remains the same.
Will anyone buck the trend?
