Wanderers shelled out £282,261 on agents’ fees in the last 12 months, a report has found.
The figure – the fourth-highest in League One behind Charlton Athletic (£608,465), MK Dons (£496,605) and Sheffield United (£284,958) – is well down on the £964,869 paid in agents’ fees between October 2014 and September 2015.
Wanderers are now paying less than a twelfth for agents’ services than they were in 2009/10, which was the highest figure recorded since reporting of the information became mandatory.
According to transferleague.co.uk Bolton paid out a whopping £3,549,316 to agents in Gary Megson’s final season, which also saw the appointment of Owen Coyle for the January transfer window.
