JAMES Henry has been released by Wolves – raising the prospect he could sign a permanent deal at the Macron next season.
The 27-year-old midfielder joined Wanderers on loan last August with a view to a permanent move in January.
But much like team-mate Andy Taylor, who linked-up from Wigan Athletic – was forced to wait as the club’s transfer embargo made the deal impossible.
It remains to be seen whether Phil Parkinson will look to press ahead with his plan to sign the former Millwall man after promotion to the Championship.
Henry made more than 100 appearances at Molineux but struggled to hold down a regular first team place after moving to the North West at the start of last season.
He scored a memorable winner against Scunthorpe United on New Year’s Eve but started just 16 games in total for the Whites.
