WANDERERS have been hit by another winding-up petition from HMRC, The Bolton News understands.

The HMRC Courts and Tribunals office lists a petition from the Inland Revenue against Bolton Wanderers Football and Athletic Company Ltd, dated July 12.

Wanderers have confirmed they are aware of the petition and will be dealing with it in due course.

Two similar petitions were issued by HMRC back in May earlier this year but cleared up before the due court date.

Meanwhile, Shaun McHugh has left his position as the club’s head of finance after less than four months.

I remember the good old days when threads like this did not need qualifying with 'Newest' in the title.

It does seem to me that HMRC relish issuing these to the club now, I thought that winding up orders where a last resort, but it seems we have peed them off so much as soon as we default on a payment we get smacked with one straight off.

When was the last time a league club was wound up. Many, many years ago.

Just ignore it Ken.

Chorley is nearly as big as Bolton, it'll be a city inside 20 years.

I might be mayoress.

Chorley is just a suburb of Westhoughton.

Ken may have his critics but there finally seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel. Credit where it is due for him sorting it out.

See number 34 on the list.
