Interesting article from Middleborough's on line local paper going through the money of the people who own all the clubs in our league.

It's a bit frightening what we are up against and Anderson is a pauper financially compared to the vast majority of them.

Clearly there is money to be had by him if he can keep us up and find someone (probably Chinese I would guess from looking at this article) to buy us and invest in the team.

Worth a look - link here -

Very interesting article. Delia, with a mere £23 million has done pretty well, but Norwich get big gates and product sales because there are no other teams competing for fans in the immediate area. Underpins what I've been saying about Anderson too. He can't finance the progress needed to create a turnover that will accommodate the expense of our facilities and break even.

We now have a new addition to the clubs owned by billionaires, little old Barnsley have been taken over by a consortium including a Chinese billionaire today. One would assume the plan is to use the January window to keep them in the Championship.

It is well documented that Anderson had a bidder lined up as recently as a couple of months ago but because there was only one that met his criteria he sacked them off - presumably because he needs more than one to create a bidding war to force up the price he gets for his shares.

Bolton Net Worth = Nowt.

We will get nowhere until foreign money comes in and a foreign manager to boot. From a practical standpoint though the difference in available finance for these other clubs is scary.

Be interested to see a league table of transfer investment this year. I suspect it would be very similar to the current league standings, and does emphasise the limitations Parky works under.

We'd be bottom or joint bottom as we spent zero.

Birmingham would be far higher up the table given they spent £10 million on 3 Brentford players and another £5 million on Mark Roberts and Craig Gardner in the summer

It's the wages that are contentious at our level. Allardyce didn't spend a fortune on transfers because he was able to offer high wages so could still attract quality and the same principle applies IMO. Certainly is is a key issue if we go into the loan market. I reckon he should be looking abroad for a loan in case Real Madrid or PSG have a spare genius or two.
