NEWCASTLE United have recalled Adam Armstrong from his loan spell at Wanderers.
Phil Parkinson had hoped to keep the 20-year-old striker for the second half of the season but sources on Tyneside suggest he will be loaned out in League One, with Bradford City and Blackburn Rovers mentioned as potential candidates.
Armstrong managed just three goals in his 23 appearances at Bolton, playing the majority of his football from the left side of attack.
The England Under-20 international had not started a game since November 25, when Wanderers were beaten 5-1 at Wolves.
