Adam Le Fondre's sublime half-volley earned Wanderers a share of the spoils in a pulsating draw with Fulham on Saturday.

The forward came off the bench to pull the Whites level in the clash, with Matt Targett having put the Cottagers ahead early on in the game.

And speaking after the final whistle, manager Phil Parkinson covered the following points...

On picking up a pleasing point...

It is a very good point for us. They're an excellent side and we've matched them.

We are obviously disappointed with the way we started - I thought we were lacklustre in the first ten to 15 minutes and we're not quite sure why, but we grew into the game and there were a lot of very good performances from us today.

They are a very good side and they were on a great run heading into this game, so our performance was extremely pleasing.

To take four points from games against Bristol City and Fulham is a good return. Of course, we would have loved to have taken six, but we will certainly take what we have got.

On Adam Le Fondre's impact...

What an outstanding goal from Alfie. I said yesterday in the press that the lads who haven't been in the team have been training outstandingly well this week and that goal was earned on the training pitch with the sharpness he has shown.

Not just his goal was superb though - his all-round play when he came on was fantastic. The finish was Van Basten-esqe with the way he's hit it and it was a huge boost for us and him.

On the competitiveness for places in the squad...

It's definitely a different look to the team now from what it was a few weeks ago, with Sammy playing up at the top of the pitch or just in behind.

It gives us other options however and I think the supporters have seen that today.

Cloughie made a good contribution and will be disappointed that he didn't score, as with his brightness he is always going to get opportunities in and around the box.

On the supporters' backing...

I thought the fans were great again today. They clapped the lads off at half-time because they had seen the effort from the boys and the quality was there as well.

There seems to be a real togetherness about everybody at the moment and we've got to keep that.

The test today was whether everybody would stay with us after we conceded early on, and they did.

Both teams had chances to win the game and Johansen came close when he skipped through everybody at the end - Fulham have also got a habit of scoring late on too, but I thought we withstood that bit of pressure well.

On the team's determination in adversity...

The togetherness is hugely important as you are going to concede goals and go behind in games, but it's how you respond and I felt we did that very well today.

And finally, on picking up results against two promotion chasing sides in quick succession...

It's been a big boost. Tuesday against Cardiff is our game in hand and what a chance we have to go there and get above Reading, another team we've been targeting for a while.

It will be fantastic if we can go and get a result down there and we'll be giving our all to do just that.
