This thread isn't about the pathetic little scammers who ring up with a foreign accent and ask if they are speaking to Mr Rammy- they're easy to deal with.
No-its the British establishment.
Yesterday I rang HSBC twice to try and pay an Access bill which was nearly due-after nearly 3 minutes of pressing buttons (bank sort code, account number, date of birth, security number) I waited for another two minutes and then some woman tells me that they can't dealwith my call and I was to ring back later. Thank you!! Twice!!
Then I rang AVIVA twice to talk about car insurance renewal and a potential claim for some household damage- spent about three minutes pressing buttons for options ,waited another two minutes listening to some gobshite telling me to do it on line! And then twice got cut off.
I've just gone through the same palaver with HMRC who've got my PAYE code wrong. Same performance- why don't I do it on line. Two minutes pressing buttons answering questions ,rejecting voice ID-and then was told they were too busy to deal with my call and to call back later.
The bastards-all of them. Why don't they employ some humanoids to man the bleeding telephones!!
