I prefer all the rumour news to be in one place rather than a new topic being created every time some bizarre rumour is spotted. In the last hour alone we have had two Frenchmen with what almost look like made up names (Mareval and Letoux) posted!

Perhaps it would be better with a transfer rumour sticky?

A sticky would be good.
Looks like Mareval definitely won't be joining us as he has signed for KAA Gent (who?). I'm more worried about the prospect of Coyle spending all the available cash on Dos Santos which looks like a massive gamble.

I'd be concerned if Coyle so much as dreamt of spending all available cash on Dos Santos.
If he was worth the reportedly quoted £8m, he'd have had more opportunities at Spurs by now.

What would you call someone who signed him to a FOUR year contract then?

Bolton are looking to sign Welsh international defender Danny Collins from Stoke.
Collins, 31, has not played for Stoke this season but scored three times in 16 games on loan at Ipswich before returning to the Britannia Stadium last month.
He has made 57 appearances for Stoke since his £2.75m move from Sunderland in August 2009.

God help us. It looks as though we're shopping in the bargain basement to get salaries down which is understandable, but that approach has to bear in mind the cost of relegation.
Fat Sam threw salaries around like there was no tomorrow to keep us in the prem and it worked. We survived when Youri came along and that was followed by a whole series of high salary signings that pushed us on. I have a feeling that tomorrow has now arrived - a bit sickening when you see what our rivals are getting.
Still you never know. The inspired signings in the pre-Allardyce era moved us up and made us a fortune on the transfer market so maybe the plan has switched back to that. But we'd be helluva lucky to find another Gudjohnssen or McAteer for peanuts nowadays - all the well off clubs have closed off that loop as well as having the young talent in the bag.
Not sure OC can do much more than look across the pond and pray - and I'll be right there praying that he finds a gem or two before it's too late.

What happened to signing players, from Asia, i thought we had contacts over there.
Must admit i'm not inspired by some of the names, we're supposed to be interested in.

Just read that Jason Roberts hasn't even made the Rovers squad today - I really feel this is the sort of guy we should be trying to sign.
He's strong, still quick, and has always scored goals. If we made 3 or 4 signings like Roberts i.e. with lots of Prem experience I reckon we could stay up.

I'd take Jason Roberts as he's big and strong, he couldn't be any worse than what we have.

Ngog did okay today. Let's give him a bit more time.
