Did you ever own a car with one ? I was watching an old 50's b/w and a guy was using one because he had a flat batt and I thought what a good thing they were then I remembered I had one on my old 1958 Hillman minx that I had when I was 17 and used it a lot rather than buy a new batt for a while good times out in the rain turning it over getting soaked while the bird you just picked up was getting impatient inside.

I remember seeing them as a kid, but by the time I bought my first car (about 1970) the technology had moved on to a key and a choke.
And if any of you youngsters don't know what a choke is-then Google it.

From starting handles to Driverless cars.
I can't get my head around Driverless cars. It just takes the pleasure out of driving and that feeling of being in control.
As a paraplegic I get a lot of pleasure driving an automatic car with hand controls. I've got a 2004 Mercedes C class Estate. It's only done 45,000 miles and it will probably be my last car. (violins)
