I was choosing from fit players lads,what douggie is supposed to do !!! Glad to see no mention of Darren ( not a clue ) Pratley though !!!

They are all fit, Holden and vela should be stepping up their comebacks now and starting a game in the cup against premiership opposition is the perfect time. I know it's a risk but they have to start sometime

Wheater should play tomorrow for the reserves so depending on how that goes I'm sure he could make the bench.

4.4.2 with any combination of Spearing, Andrews and Pratley in the middle is dreadful for us IMO. There's not enough energy or forward movement from them, real easy for teams to play against.

We need to play 423, 433 or 451 I reckon.

I was excited about the Sunderland games because it was a chance for the likes of Sordell to show why he should be playing weekly. He did that and he's no closer to being taken seriously. I would go with:

Every one so far has Sordell starting - just because he started the last cup match and scored 2 against premiership opposition. It will probably happen as I imagine Dougie will rest the first team again.

It'll be interesting to see how Knight and Ream (or Ricketts) handle Jelavic and Fellaini.

he's repeatedly said he wants to bring through more young players into the team.
