WANDERERS fans have been warned to expect a busy few days as the transfer deadline approaches.

Ken Anderson said yesterday “several” players could yet be added to Phil Parkinson’s squad, who made a fine start to the season with a 2-1 win at West Brom on Saturday.
The chairman is locked in talks with two clubs to sign strikers – one of which is understood to be Ipswich Town over Joe Garner.
Parkinson has made a new front man his highest priority before Thursday’s 5pm deadline for permanent transfers and says Anderson is in advanced talks with two different targets.

“We want another striker,” said the Bolton boss. “Ken is working towards that and I’ve been in regular contact with him on that subject. He’s been progressing it alongside Simon Marland with a couple of other clubs.
“Every manager wants that extra quality at the top of the pitch, that competition level, but also Ken wants us to be strong in that department too. He’s trying very hard to get one of those deals over the line.”
Wanderers will have a behind-closed-doors game against Oldham today in which they will give Marc Wilson his first game since signing on a free transfer.
Stephen Ireland, the former Stoke City and Aston Villa midfielder, is also expected to play on trial after recovering from a calf injury.

Wanderers were keen on bringing the 31-year-old on board earlier this summer if they could strike the right deal on salary. But an injury on the eve of another friendly against Morecambe appeared to have scuppered his chances completely.
As Ireland is a free agent he can join outside the normal transfer window, so there is not the same time constraint, but the player is understood to be keen to get his future sorted.
Parkinson feels he is close to getting the squad he wants.
“We still need players in certain areas – left-back, goalkeeper, and we’re working on it,” he said. “The fans who I bump into seem to understand the jigsaw we’ve been piecing together. They can see clearly what we are trying to do and hopefully we can sort that before the window closes.

“It’s going to be tight this year although obviously we can do some loans afterwards."

From Superagent's tweets it would appear that Zouma and a GK are pretty much tied up... however, Lee Camp is apparently signing for Birmingham today
