There is no Sky Bet Championship action this weekend due to the international break, but a positive start to the 2018/19 season has seen Wanderers pick up eleven points from eighteen available in the first six games.
Manager Phil Parkinson says his players must keep to the standards they’ve set in the opening four weeks of the campaign if they are to continue their bright form.
He said: We’ve reset the standards set in the early parts of the season with the draw at Preston North End after losing to Sheffield United, and our aim is to try and continue that when we come up against QPR, a week on Saturday.
After losing to Sheffield United, we needed to respond well and we did that at Deepdale last weekend. We don’t have a game on Saturday because of the international break, but the group are in great spirits at the moment.
We’re going to have two weeks without a game before we’re back in action but we’ll re-group, prepare on the training round and try to get stronger ready for the next run of fixtures.
Wanderers are back in Sky Bet Championship action on Saturday 15 September, with Steve McClaren’s Queens Park Rangers the visitors to the University of Bolton Stadium.
