It is frustrating when in one game the lads show they are capable of competing in the top half of the division and in the next they just look like relegation fodder. Just too many poor performances sunk us last night.

In trying to pick a winner for games it's increasingly becoming a case of "depends which BWFC turns up".
I just hope it's a better BWFC for the Rovers game

I think it will be lusty. From what I saw last night Parky was trying out some things and that actually encourages me. I don't mean the result of course, just the fact he was willing to look at a different way of playing and while it didn't work it did show he might not be a completely blinkered one dimensional manager after all.

I even suspect he chose Stoke on purpose on the grounds we'd probably lose anyway so why not give it a bash and maybe we'd surprise them. However Rovers are a very different proposition, they're probably no better overall than us so Parky's going to use his best players and what he feels is his most effective formation and system because these are 3 points we SHOULD take rather than 3 it would be nice to have.

Well I suppose that now we can sometimes string two or three passes together the next logical step is to try and string two or three results together, must say though that disallowing the goal was a piss poor decision.

IMO Stoke were nothing to shout about. We were timid and didn't press them in the first half. Second half we played further up the field and looked capable of doing something. If only we were aggressive from the start.

Parky Out.

We wake up still 13 points ahead of last season at this time.

Which is all well and good providing we go on the kind of run we did last season after 11 games, but there are absolutely no guarantees of that happening. If we are to avoid the last minute drama we need to be building on the decent start and staying well out of trouble.

Don't disagree... but still much happier at this point than I was with a team that seemed destined for relegation.  I feel we can perform this year, albeit, if Parky plays the correct players.  Hopefully no drama in next 3/4 of the season... just grind out results which keep us mid-table.

Consistency is something we're not showing much of TBH. Last night Hobbs was easily bullied off the ball by Martins for their first goal and Ince walked around Grounds for the second yet both defenders stood up well against Derby. It's good to try to progress but seems to me that only Wheater and Olkowski have been consistently solid at the back this year and I agree with the earlier comment that you have to carefully pick the games in which to switch things around - Stoke away was not the brightest of calls IMO.
BTW I can understand why the Magennis "goal" was disallowed given that his forearm was jammed against the defender's throat as he shoved him back 3 yards to get on the end of the cross.
