Can't wait for the TalkSport breakfast show at 6am tomorrow. Alan Brazil and Ally McCoist were having a right laugh at the expense of their opponents this morning.

Lovely result although its a sign of the times that their best player stayed at home with a sore tooth because Liverpool are a lot richer than Scotland

3 excellent goals from the Kasaks to be fair, although the Scotland back four looked like strangers.

Let's face it, just like the Wanderers, Scotland just don't have the talent. Scottish football is in a bit of a mess.
The best team up there, Celtic, are bang average, and would finish mid table in the Championship.

It's an indication of just how far Scottish football has fallen since the 80's. In those days almost every team in Division 1 (Premier League to the youngsters) in England had at least one Scot in the ranks and a lot of them were top class players such as Alan Hansen, Graeme Souness, Gordon Strachan, Kenny Daglish and others. Unfortunately as time went on and more and more clubs looked to Europe and South America for 'big name' players the Scots were squeezed out as were a lot of talented young English lads. It's not a whinge about 'foreigners' or anything, just an observation that the problem for the Scottish national side is an indication of how money has changed the game in the Premiership era.
