£5million disappears in a puff of smoke and you want me to ignore it, Boncey?boltonbonce wrote:
Bob, as Sluffy has said, this is the internet. You're taking it too seriously.
According to my history on here:
I believe Bruce Forsyth to be the greatest entertainer to ever walk planet earth.
I'm frequently part of police line ups.
I have Native American heritage.
I attend a weekly penile dysfunction clinic.
I'm obsessed with slippers.
I spend 20 hours a day on youtube.
I'm on FBI and Interpol 'lists'.
Am I a lefty? Do I even support Bolton Wanderers? Am I a woman posing as a man?
It's the wonderful world of the internet, and Sluffy is right to take it with a pinch of salt. I may be all, or none of the things listed, but who cares?
My main objection on Nuts is to have fun, and, if others choose to join in, all the better. The financial woes of BWFC are outside my comfort zone, so any input I might provide is on a purely visceral or emotional level.
Patronise me, or anyone else on here if you choose, but it's water off a ducks back.
I'm sure Sluffy can handle it too.
Welcome to Nuts, Bob, where, like Lake Wobegone 'All the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average'.
I can't help wondering how many £millions might have disappeared in puffs of smoke where Sluffy worked if he wasn't bothered about £5m of creditors suddenly disappearing off BWFC's books.
But its not always bad news for everyone when sh1t hits fan.

Can we not just close these finance threads down? No one other than Ten Bob cares now, even Sluffy has had enough.

The bot count keeps ticking away, so somebody's interested and they don't seem interested in much else.

Yawn...
...and fwiw Bonce and Norpig aren't stupid people like you believe them to be simply because they might not know specialised stuff like accountancy like you do - and neither of then are bitter, twisted and crazily obsessed over things that happened FOUR YEARS ago, that no one but you still care about, like you clearly are.
I don't think Boncey and Norpig are stupid at all but both have their blindspots. Norpig sees the world through standard issue leftyspecs. Boncey wears leftyspecs too but his are bespoke, not standard issue.
As for no-one being interested, I respectfully refer you to my earlier answers. The 'bot count' suggests that the thread is one of the most popular on Nuts for some time. Is that upsetting you?
You don't think Norpig is stupid???
That's news to everyone on here including Norpig, I believe I even had to ban you for a week because everything got so heated once over your ceasless ridicule of his lack of intelligence.
I've absolutely no idea of your fixation (and complete misunderstanding) of views on forums.
Let's just ignore the bot 'count' for now - as you clearly don't believe what I've said about them, and look at the 'Bolton Finance' thread which you constantly are banging on about, which shows 15,000 views of 600 posts.
Clearly that doesn't mean 15,000 individual people have read the thread.
What it does mean is that there are 15,000 occasions when someone as clicked on to the thread.
So something like this could happen - I could login to Nuts in the morning, see you posted and read your post, I then click on to another thread to read - similarly so do others following the thread. I click back some time later to reply.
You click on to read my reply, so too do others, you click off the thread to do whatever you need to do and so do everybody else following the thread.
You return later and post and the series of events continue in that way.
How many people have followed the cycle - you post, they view, I post they view, and so on?
600 posts 15,000 views - roughly 25 people viewing each post on average?
Two of those are you and me, two more are Bonce and Norpig.
Every new post that is made is viewed by a bot - there are at least four different commercial bot companies 'trawling' on here.
We are already down to something like an average of just 17 people following the thread - and that probably includes one or two who view it just to laugh at us and think how weird and crazy you and/or I are!
I honestly believe there can't be more than say a dozen people who have any great interest in the thread and most of them are people who post on here anyway - and some of them are only interested in the thread to laugh at us as to how pathetic we are!
You believe what you want Bob but you aren't going to change the world with anything you post on here, there simply aren't thousands of people reading this, or any other, thread on here, there are just a relatively tiny number of folk constantly clicking on and off, simply to view the latest post - some because they are generally interested but clearly some because they think we are simply sad and pathetic old men - which we probably are.

We could try something similar.

Christ Bob, what is wrong with you?
Let's just say you are absolutely right in all that you say - what exactly does it change?
The haters will simply carry on hating.
The Administrator (or anyone else) can't go back and change things that resulted from his decision.
Eddie can't rise from the dead.
What is exactly is your end game in all of this?
It's like those moaning about Brexit - it's gone, it happened, it can't be changed.

This also shows you have obsessive qualities BTW
How long ago did that happen?
Let’s hope the “cease fire” happens very soon as it’s all very boring. We can call it the Nuts Friday agreement.

I was being FACTUAL, actually, and my little jokey 'taunt' was aimed at Bob's clear obsessiveness over something that happened some years ago than he can't seem to let go of.
My inference to Wanderlust (who by the way I deliberately didn't name!) was to make Bob reflect somewhat that maybe he was going down that same road a little bit?
I'm sure that certainly wasn't his intent, hence the point I was making.
Have you ever thought you might be obsessed over me apparently being obsessed over Wanderlust because you're the one who bangs on about every single time, even when, as in this case, Wanderlust wasn't even the focus (or the subject) of the point I was actually making?
I've no idea what ceasefire you are talking about, as I'm not in a war with anyone?
And whatever it is you think I'm doing that you find 'boring' then the answer is simple - just stop reading it!
Easily solved!

Sluffy accusing anyone of being obsessive is like being accused of fraud by Bernie Madoff, tax dodging by Boris Becker and a sex pest by Russell Brand.BoltonTillIDie wrote:

Sorry if its boring but it does seem to be getting more views than anything else.
