Remember him, the one Sam signed from the Spanish third division, who went on to play exactly ZERO games for us before buggering back to relative obscurity in Spain, well Blackburn have signed someone very much the same a Portuguese called Nuno Henrique.

As you may know it's a funny set up at Blackburn, the manager Kean has had someone appointed by the chicken owners above his head, a kind of like former Sky presenter Andy Gray, a bloke called Shebby Singh a former Malaysia international but better known as a football pundit in Asia - and one who said just before he got his new job that Kean "should be sacked" because he's a crap manager!

Well Kean as let it be known that the three players Blackburn signed on the last day of the transfer deadline had nothing to do with him, indeed he never seen any of them play before - they were all Shebby's signings!

One of them in particular looks very, very dodgy indeed though, Nuno Henrique!

Basically the 25 year old defender as been an occasional reserve for a Portuguese second division side and if that wasn't bad enough only played two league games in the last ten months.

Strangely enough though he bought out the remaining year of his contract with this second division club just before Blackburn 'swooped' to sign him - fancy that - somebody is quids in!

Must be the 'smelliest' transfer deal since Craig Allardyce was wheeling and dealing on his dads behalf!

I wonder when Nuno will be making his debut at Blackburn - not anytime soon I wouldn't think!

I don't think anything will ever top Graeme Souness's signing of Ali Dia for Southampton.

I see Angry Dad was wide of the mark when he called you a 'wigger' the other day.

Did anyone on on this forum ever hear the expanation for the signing of Oscar Perez from Taragona?

His only action on the Reebok turf was to draw the winning tickets for the half time raffle.

After leaving he did a season at Tenerife before disappearing to an even lower level.

He's not known as Shabby Singh for nothing.

Gerald Cid, had a ten year career in football and played 90 matches. He retired when he was 27 (presumably when he realised he couldn't actually play football).

Cid and Jardel were probably two of our worst ever buys. I was going to include Frank Passi but I didn't want to offend him seeing as he posts on here.

I think Passi was underrated by some, he was a holding midfielder in the Claude Makele style. He wasn't flash and sometimes you didn't even notice him but he did his job better than any of our current team.

100% agree with this. He was extremely valuable to the BWFC team at the time because he kept it simple. He'd win the ball and give it to one of the flair players, and when the opposition had the ball he was always on their toes.

I've told this story loads of times but i was sat behind an older gent at a game against West Brom back in the day and Passi came on as a sub, he made 2 or 3 sideways passes and the old lad said.

"he's the best player we've had here for 10 bloody years" < or something like that.

So i think it's fair to say he was overrated by some.
