I "broke" the Turnbull rumour on here - and here's a new name for you: Kian Flanagan. Crystal Palace's U23 player of the year in 2019, he was apparently unhappy at not being allowed out on loan.

This would at least make sense re the Brentford model assuming it's  a signing and not a loan?

Comes across as a bit of a prima donna does Kian Flanagan and was probably let go because of his whingeing so I'm wondering if Evatt is prepared to sacrifice his principles in order to get him?

Young Flanagan was told that he'd stay at U23's level for 2 years before being allowed out on loan and it's been 4 years at that level without getting any first team experience anywhere. I wouldn't call it whingeing when he does have his career to think of - he's been a stand out at that level and has a point to prove, so if it's with us then I'm more than willing to see what he can do.

I'd love him to sign Keegs - just think there may be a slight concern re temperament - we'll see. Meanwhile:

Hi all. Hope you've all been well. Things a bit chaotic here recently which is why I haven't been on much. Still on furlough and frankly bored rigid but hopefully will be back to work by the end of next month. Anyway this Sarcevic seems decent from what little I've been able to glean about him. Has anyone actually seen him play? God knows we need guys who can help us get out of League 2 in the right direction ASAP especially given the apparently still shaky state of our finances.

I have thought about you a few times actually knowing your previous health issues you've had so really good to hear from you.

I think we are all looking forward with great expectations to the season.

Hopefully the good times will be back soon!

I'm fine thanks sluffy. Thankfully all of our family have so far come through the crisis unscathed (knock wood, cross fingers and all that) and I hope the same is true of everyone on here.

On the business of BWFC I have to say I feel somewhat cautiously optimistic at the moment, perhaps because I remember the Div 4 days so know we've played at this level before. While the situation is of course far from ideal I do think the new owners and new manager are certainly making the best moves currently available and do seem to be committed to improving the all round picture.

I won't get over excited of course but in truth it may turn out that both the relegation and covid have done us a long term favour in that they have concentrated minds and given us a much clearer idea of how we stand and what needs to be done.
