Billy the Fish should be OK.
Agree about the striker although if Doyle gets an injury we'd could probably get away with having e.g. Politic or someone else as a false no 9 for a short while but another out and out goalscorer would be a massive boost. Not supremely confident in Faal just yet but you never know.

Rumoured we are still after Jamie Devitt but I'd be surprised if that's true. Never know though if we're playing moneyball but he doesn't score masses as an attacking midfielder and we've got a few youngsters who could grow into that role and cover for Sarcevic. We'll see.

I think the biggest problem could be COVID.
What happens if a number of clubs are hit badly by players falling sick, the whole season could start to fall apart.
If it wasn't for the virus I would feel very positive about our new manager and the team building that is going on. Hoping for a top six finish.

I accept that Gilks is the fall back at 38 but two Rookies vying for the top spot? Not sure they usually take time to mature, i hope i am wrong but woud sooner see a more experienced hand.wanderlust wrote:

If we are to push for promotion we need a strike partner to play with Doyle under Evatts system, plus injuries or suspensions we need cover, Politic maybe ? i like him not sure he can do the no9 role, i fully expect the next signing to be another striker.

I said it's just as likely they'll be in the bottom 2 as the top 2, there's a difference.

At Chorley's ground you can change ends at half-time so I always stand behind the goal Chorley are attacking. We could have had sluffy in goal for all I know.
