No need for that Martin.

We all have our own pet topics, yours is abusing whichever current manager we have at the time.

Bobs beef is with Iles who once again spouted financial stuff - this time about 'the Don's' - which once again is wrong - yet people who follow him believe every word of his it seems.

If we all shut up about our pet footballing related peeve's then we'd only have slipper talk left on here!

And we don't want that at all do we!

Not only wrong, Sluffy, just plain stupid. How can you, in one paragraph, say that MKD lost £14m last year and in the very next paragraph say how well its run by caring owners?

But there is some interesting stuff in the MK set up relevant to BWFC. I rather suspect that, because of the similarities, KA may have used MK's £125K directors fees as the benchmark in 2017 and added £400K as a promotion bonus to cover the £400K aggregate payments made to Holdsworth and Quantuma.

By doing this he would have avoided a 32% tax charge on BWFC of £128K and the future consequences of an overdrawn directors loan account.

He didn't draw the £125K btw. £60K was still outstanding when the administrators were appointed.

I guess it boils down to what you value.

I've never understood how some people devote a goodly part of their lives to their club, akin to a religious way it seems to me, where reality and sanity is put to one side in to facilitate their zealotsy towards the club.

It is almost as though they become slavish cults to something that has no real meaning - football is just a game when all said and done.

You don't get any medals for the privilege of spending a chunk of your life and wealth on something that usually someone else owns and what quite often you have little to no say in.

People invest a great deal of emotion into a vehicle than on the whole treats them very badly - yet they still come back for more!

I get the tribal bit, that's why I'm on here - and always will 'follow' the club - but I'll never lose my mind or reason over it.

Football is part of the 'entertainment' business, if you aren't enjoying what is on offer, then simply stop doing it until it changes for the better.

If you were doing anything else, eating a meal. watching a film, drinking a pint, etc - and you weren't enjoying it, you would stop - so why do some people think it is some badge of Bolton honour to continue to suffer through it all - and spending their hard earned, to do it too!

Each to their own and all that but it simply seems pointless to me and something I've never done even from being a child.

I support my club but I've never been a willing slave to it unlike some.

Did I mention that Cousin Vinny still hasn't filed his accounts? They've been late before but never as late as this. You don't think he might be having a bit of bother wit' th'accountants do you?

I'm not sure some on here can see the big picture....
We are lucky to even have a club at this point. The survival of BWFC is the only important thing accomplished this season. We are relegated due to the EFL.  The football and players signed are the best we can do under the embargo etc.
Most of the players are nowhere near good enough and half of them will be gone in the summer anyhow.....to be replaced with other journeymen and cast-offs.
The infrastructure of the club can be sorted over the next year or two but on the field we are two season away IMO.

The average home attendances are still reported as 11,000 plus, but what is the actual number of people actually going through the turnstiles?

I would be interested to hear the gestimates of those who attend on a regular basis.

The attendances include all season tickets sold, the last game I went to there looked to around 7-8000 on.

Thanks, that's interesting to know.

In contrast  my nearest local club is Fleetwood who average roughly 3,500, currently in a play-off position despite being managed by Joey Barton.

I suspect actual attendances are under 10K at the moment and will only get lower if we continue to play as we are at the moment and get beaten every week.
I have a season ticket and have missed a few games over the last few years and i admit it doesn't bother me as much as it would have 10 years ago. Saying all that i'll still be there next season hoping for better.

Supporters were fighting amongst themselves according to a mate who was at the MK game. Not going to help.

Last time I went to an away game I got covered in beer. They tend to chuck it about at the HT refreshment bar.

Report: MK Dons vs. Bolton Wanderers

A second half strike from Rhys Healey gifted the three points to MK Dons after ran out 1-0 winners against Bolton Wanderers.

Keith Hill made two changes to the starting XI with midfielder Ali Crawford making his long-awaited return from injury while Jacob Mellis also came into the starting line-up with Josh Emmanuel and Chris O’Grady dropping to the bench,

Remi Matthews was on hand to turn away an early opportunity from Healey whose low, angled drive was turned away by the Wanderers ‘keeper.

Crawford’s in-swinging free-kick was glanced towards his own goal by the head of George Williams but Lee Nicholls in the Dons’ goal was able to safely gather the ball.

Healey then cut inside from the left but couldn't find an opening for a shot before the ball broke loose to Louis Thompson whose curling effort went narrowly wide from 20 yards.

Crawford gained possession in midfield and then found Jason Lowe over on the right-hand side, but his cross into the box was claimed comfortably by Nicholls.

At the other end, after latching onto Ben Reeves' cross, Healey’s header went narrowly over the bar.

Ethan Hamilton did well to keep control of the ball and find Lowe, but his dangerous low cross didn’t connect with any Wanderers player and the chance went begging.

The visitors looked for a penalty went Dennis Politic went down after he collided with Healey after latching onto Mellis’ pass, but the referee allowed play to continue.

Alex Gilbey did well to run into the box and pull the ball back to for Carlton Morris, but he saw his shot from 10 yards out blocked by the Wanderers defence.

Crawford, looking very energetic upon his return to action, saw Nicholls hold onto his long-range curling effort after picking up Daryl Murphy’s flick-on.

Deep into time added-on, Matthews was forced into making a vital save to keep out Morris after Crawford lost possession with a loose pass.

Early into the second half, the hosts found themselves with a good opportunity to break the deadlock when Ben Reeves' free-kick into the box was headed across goal by Jordan Moore-Taylor but Matthews rose the highest to claim the loose ball.

Meanwhile, at the other end, a superb through ball from Hamilton sent Politic away down the left but after cutting into the box, the young Romanian was held up by a couple of Dons’ defenders before he eventually lost possession.

Hill made his first change of the afternoon just before the hour with Sonny Graham coming on for Mellis.

Politic tried his luck from just outside the box but his well-struck shot sailed over the bar after he did well to carve open the opportunity.

Crawford produced a beautiful lob over the top of the Dons’ defence to put Daryl Murphy in, but the big Irishman saw his half volley go inches wide of the far post.

The hosts took the lead shortly afterwards through Healey whose angled drive squirmed underneath the body of Matthews.

Wanderers made another change with Emmanuel coming on for Crawford with just over fifteen minutes of the contest remaining, with Joe Dodoo replacing Hamilton shortly afterwards.

Politic had an opportunity to level scores when he charged into the box and unleashed a shot towards goal, but Nicholls managed to keep the effort out to preserve his team’s narrow lead.

Matthews then made a great save to keep out Alex Gilbey after he surged into the box and looked set on increasing the Dons’ lead.

The Wanderers’ keeper made another fine save to keep out an injury-time strike off Healey, who was looking keen to add to his tally.
