I'm sure some people on here will remember the TV programme "Do not adjust your set" with pre-pythons Palin,Jones & Idle and also David Jason. It was a kids programme aimed at kids under 11 on at 5pm. It was really weird and funny and very Pythonesque. Just to seal the deal the resident guest band who played a song live every week were The Bonzo's. I was about 13 and thought it was really weird at the time. I have often wondered since what the hell the young kids it was supposedly aimed at made of it.

I enjoyed all those Bonzo Dog Band songs. Thats quality. Reminds me of the seventies and Spike Milligan, Wonderful.

Urban Spaceman made them mainstream - but the weirdness was totally acceptable in those days and all the funnier for it.Hip Priest wrote:I'm sure some people on here will remember the TV programme "Do not adjust your set" with pre-pythons Palin,Jones & Idle and also David Jason. Always loved the Police since being a small kid. Sting did turn into a bit of a tit but this is one of their best

Great version by Hooky and his band and his bass playing is beyond compare as usual, what a bass line!
