Another good new band, influenced by early New Order and Joy Division which is why i'm loving it.

The mighty New Order are playing Heaton Park next September and i've just booked my tickets, can't wait!

There have been a lot of recent posts featuring some awesome female singers, but is there anyone that can match the purity and power of Barbra Streisand?

Got so much time for these guys. Just brilliant, as ever.

Kate Bush has the same birthday as Emily Bronte, the 30th July 1818 for Emily, and One Hundred and Forty years later, 30th July 1958 for Kate.
Lindsay Kemp was the person whom taught Kate Bush how to mime on her videos. She wrote this song, for him. You can see her Gravestone at the beginning, and hear the Hounds howling to mourn her passing.  Maybe on the boat she is personifying Charon, carrying her over the river Styx and from the world of the living into the world of the dead. Right at the end you can see her being a bird lifting up and away on the breeze.
