I was watching a documentary called teenage superstars last night, all about indie bands in the 80s and 90s in Glasgow. I used to love Teenage Fanclub back then but not listened to them in years. Decided to get their albums again. This is a classic!

I loved a bit of 90s indie.

Sleeper, Charlatans, James, Happy Mondays & The Bluetones all made some great albums.

Norpig definitely fancied Louise Wener.

She was nice but my favourite was Miki from the band Lush

Love this band!

This guy spent years behind a mask, pretending he was Elvis. Came to a sad end when he was murdered during a robbery in his own shop.

Can't believe I once played cricket against this guy, Ian Anderson, lead singer and flautist extraordinaire! How our paths have diverged since then! Not jealous at all....

Perhaps if he'd kept both legs firmly on the ground, I might have had him lbw!

 Well done to the England cricket team today. Brilliant, especially Lancashire's own Jimmy Anderson.

RIP Chick Corea. Got into his music as a teen. Sad news.

Love this band so much, the harmonies are amazing as always.

I quite like a bit of reggae occasionally but never know what to listen to. I’m not a big fan of the obvious stuff like Bob Marley or UB40 but tend to like stuff I don’t recognize. I remember a band from Bolton called Divine Inspiration back in the late 80’s who I thought were pretty good.

I love Ska but not very well up on modern reggae to be honest. The likes of UB40 and Aswad killed it over here for me, really bland cover versions of classics.
