Not Neil though - wish it was - wish it was anyone other than Coyle - but any how -
Bolton are trying to sign Aston Villa’s Stephen Warnock to give their fading Championship promotion bid a boost.
Trotters boss Owen Coyle is keen on Warnock, a former England left-back who can also play in midfield, where new boy Jay Spearing has been lost to injury and Keith Andrews is struggling to stay fit.
The 30-year-old is completely out of Paul Lambert’s plans at Villa and can go on loan for the rest of the year as the club look to trim their payroll.
Bolton, who could snap up Warnock before the clash with Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend, have lost three straight away games.
Warnock is also looking to return to his native north-west, where he started at Liverpool and played for Blackburn.
There is other interest in him, but Bolton are his preference.
