I Wanted Us To Lose

How many of you were like me, once Wednesday equalised I wanted them to go on and win it - just so Coyle would get the bullet.

Now we've got two home games which we'll probably get 4 points from, ensuring Coyle has a job for at least a few more weeks.

Pissed off in Preston.

I'd rather us win than not, if Coyle is still at the helm that hopefully thats due to a turnaround in fortunes...

We could win one, lose one, draw one, lose one, win one, lose one all season. Coyle would keep his job and we'd be mid-table.

But that wouldn't be in line with the chairman's and owner's targer and would therefore he'd be relieved of duty...Wouldn't he?

You mean because I can see the longer term? Sack Coyle tonight and we can still get promoted. Keep Coyle in charge and we might beat the odd team around the bottom like Wednesday & Watford, but put us against Hull, Blackpool or Rovers and we'll get hammered.

Well, admit it, there were a few very small rays of light today.

Mark Davies finally had a good game, Spearing looks like a good break up player that we've needed, Eagles continues to be a top player at this level.

(yep loads of negatives too i'll admit)

I still don't think Coyle is going to be the man to take us up, but i'll see if we can do it again against Palace.

Just to give today a bit of perspective, Barnsley have just won 5-0 at St Andrews. You know, the same place we lost a few days ago.

If you were at the game Natasha you wouldn't have started this thread, we fully deserved a win and were the best team by a mile.

Ok at 1-1 I thought this could turn the game and we may have lost it but fair play to the boys we stuck in their and quickly got back in front.

To be honest before they scored we could have been 4-0 up.

Wednesday are a right materialistic bunch, "tin pot club" being one of their favourite terms for the likes of Bolton Wanderers. They also irritated regarding Megson (I don't like Gary Megson, incidentally) so I'm a lot happier about the win than I would have been if it had been Peterborough, for example.
