The point I'm making is that Broad cheated and was lauded for it. Maradona cheated and was vilified.

The point I would make is that Broad did not deserve to be lauded but Maradona fully deserved to be vilified. Cheating on multiple occasions is, of course, worse.boltonbonce wrote:The point I'm making is that Broad cheated and was lauded for it. Maradona cheated and was vilified.

The problem is, many of those who vilified Maradona would have been delighted if the boot had been on the other hand, and England went through.Ten Bobsworth wrote:

Would you have been delighted if an England player had cheated in the way Maradona did? I certainly wouldn't. Sadly, I agree, that there are many who would.boltonbonce wrote:

I've always hated cheating. I'll take a hard earned silver, for a cheated for gold every time.Ten Bobsworth wrote:

Cheating in footie's more than that though, innit Boncey?boltonbonce wrote:

A player taking a dive can make all the difference to a club valiantly struggling against relegation from the Premiership, as Swansea were at the time of Rashford's first big dive.
And relegation from the Premiership can make all the difference to people who work for those clubs, and I don't mean the here today gone tomorrow players. It can even make the difference to the chances of a club surviving at all.
Diving in the penalty area is the work of charlatans; those who do it, those who encourage it and those who laud it.

Sluffy, come back. You've got to put this lie to bed. I'll be accused of being Bob next. Let's face it, Bob is a ringer.Norpig wrote:

I dont think that this is an isolated thought. I feel the same way and always have. I am sure there are billions of others also.Cajunboy wrote:“I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. And I am horribly limited.”

To me, all this emphasises the importance of getting the most out of our experience - which is unique to everyone. Nobody else can live our lives, see, hear, feel, touch or smell what we each do, whether that's good or bad. We are individually unique and that should be celebrated.

When you've finished the hoovering, relax with The Ink Spots. This one's rather appropriate for Wanderers supporters.

Here's one that could have been written for WBA's new manager.
