Well there you go,one girl complained at a home and got put in a padded cell for her trouble. It was a different world back then, no camera,s mobiles etc a fiddlers paradise.

Yes indeed. Two things have come out on the news today which puts Savile in a very bad light. The first is that a woman has come forward to say she saw Gary Glitter having sex with an under age girl in Jimmy Savile's dressing room after a Top of the Pops show.

The second and most damning fact is that Savile actually visited Haut de la Garenne children's home and was accused of attacking a child there in the seventies. Savile was interviewed in 2008 and denied visiting the home. A photo has now emerged showing him at the home surrounded by children.

Anyone who read about Haut de la Garenne will know that it is a terrible stain on Jersey's history.

Whatever Jimmy was doing there, you can bet a Blue Peter badge that it wasn't to hand out Jim'll Fixit badges.

I wonder if Jonathan King will pop up (pardon the pun) in any of this scandal

Didn't they find kids bones buried there?

They did originally but then it was forensically proved to be animal bones. Some of the staff were arrested and charged with sexual assault on minors who were in their care.

The fact that Savile actually went there and was photographed with the kids speaks for itself. What happened there was no different than what happened in Rochdale with elderly Asian males grooming young runaways.
