We have profiled three players who have played for both Bolton Wanderers and Stevenage.

Filipe Morais

A popular figure during his time with Bolton Wanderers, Morais joined the club on a free transfer from Bradford City in January 2017 under the management of his former Bantams boss Phil Parkinson.

The Portuguese winger played an influential role in helping the club go on a run of form which would ultimately result in promotion back to the Championship at the first attempt.

Making a total of 56 appearances (3 goals) before his departure at the end of the 2017/18 season, he spent two years with Stevenage (2012-2014), where he would star as part of an attacking force that also included Luke Freeman and Francois Zoko.

Totalling 66 appearances (12 goals) for the club, his form alerted potential suitors and earned him an eventual move to Bradford City in August 2014 where he would go onto make 71 appearances (8 goals) despite missing almost a year with a knee ligament injury.

Lawrie Wilson

Starting out at Colchester United, Wilson dropped into non-league to sign for Stevenage in 2007 and he remained at the club until 2012, racking up 184 appearances (14 goals) and playing a part in the club’s rise into the Football League and eventually into League One.

Signing for Charlton Athletic in August 2012, the full-back would go onto spend three years at the Valley before a permanent move to Bolton Wanderers after a loan spell with Rotherham United. Spending two seasons with Wanderers (2015/16 and 2016/17), he made a total of 39 appearances (2 goals) before a free transfer to Port Vale in the summer of 2017.

Dropping into non-league with Ebbsfleet United a year later, he has since go onto feature for Maidstone United and Billericay Town.

Tyler Walker

The son of former England and Nottingham Forest defender Des Walker, Tyler is currently with Sky Bet Championship side Coventry City having joined the Sky Blues from Nottingham Forest in August for an undisclosed fee.

Coming through the ranks at the City Ground, the forward made a total of 45 appearances (7 goals) for the club and spent a lot of his time there out on loan. First with Burton Albion, he had a loan spell with Stevenage during the 2016/17 season and scored 4 times in 9 appearances.

Walker spent the second half of the following campaign on loan with Wanderers in the Championship, although he made just five appearances without managing to find the net. Prior to his permanent move to Coventry, he had also had loan spells with Mansfield Town and Lincoln City.
